Tower 55 – The talk from the Trainfest last weekend is that the first two Tower 55 models will be delivered in December.  The first release will included two versions of GEVO locomotives in UP and BNSF colors. Tower 55 is the new plastic model division of Overland Models with these two versions being the first out the door. These locomotives are detailed appropriately for their railroad prototype. The show reviews for these locomotives have been very positive.

Each version will be available with or without DCC with sound. The Whistle Stop price for the locomotives is $259.00 with DCC & Sound and $224.00 without. The UP model will be the AC version ES44AC, which the BNSF will be the DC version ES44DC. Each road name will feature two different paint versions in three different road numbers, plus an unnumbered unit. A better view of this product can be found at the Tower 55 Web Site. We are still taking orders for these and it is not too late to pre-order yours now.
