Welcome to the first special edition of the Whistle Stop Trains newsletter in 2007. This special edition newsletter is just to fill everyone in on a few more shows that are coming up and some information about a sale.

All of the calendars that we currently have in stock are now 40% off the white sticker price. So the red sticker price is what we will charge for the calendar(s).
New Local Activities/Events
Saturday and Sunday, February 17th & 18th, 2007 – World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour – This event will be held from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday at the Portland Metropolitan Expo Center (2060 North Marine Drive) in Portland, OR. This event will be a host to many people including manufactures, distributors, local hobby shops, and it will also have operating model train layouts. The admission for this event will be $9.00 for an adult and children 16 and under are free if they are accompanied with an adult. Saturday, March 10th, 2007 –Pacific Northwest Area 9th Annual Meet-‘N’-March – This event will take place from 10am to 4pm in the Beaverton High School Cafeteria (13000 SW 2nd St, Beaverton, OR). This event will have Intermediate and Advanced Clinics, Raffle Door Prizes and will also host a swap meet. The clinic topics (subject to change) will be ‘Protecting the rear-end of your Train’ by Ken Lass, ‘Simplified DCC’ by Bill Chown, ‘Detailing Highway Trucks to Support Your Model Railroad’ by Roy Cutler, and ‘Kitbashing Diesel Locomotives to Achieve Your Prototype’ by Pete Johnson. Admission to the event will be $3.00 for adults, $2 for children (6-12), and children under 6 are free. This meet is N-Scale ONLY and there will be a layout of NTRAK modules from 3 different NW Oregon Clubs.
For Vendor: Vendor Tables will be $15 for non-commercial tables and $20 for commercial tables. Please make check payable to Meet-‘N’-March and mail them to Meet-‘N’-March 19580 SW Longacre Ct.
